Care:
The top is coated with crystal-clear epoxy, which makes a beautiful high-gloss finish that is durable and easy to clean. Treat it like you would car paint (durable and solid but you would not drag anything sharp across) The edges and underside are finished with a food-grade, zero VOC hardwax oil blend designed to be durable enough for flooring.

Your Reclaimed Piece:
This elegant hunk of wood has all the character, imperfections, and gnarl of a real subtropical hardwood that has been weathered and sun-dried for seven years. All Jonestead wood products are repurposed from our retired avocado grove, not a timber lot or a shrinking forest. Your piece was felled, milled, shaped, and faced on the same location by the same man, and discussed heartily throughout with the same wife. We think this wood, with all its color, flaw, streaking, and depth, is among the most beautiful and most unique in the world.
